Documentation of EpiDoc community issues

EpiDoc is a community. It is vital that all important issues and recommendations be discussed with (a) epigraphers in the field, especially those running major databases or online projects, (b) parallel communities such as papyrologists, sigillographers, numismatists, scholars working with inscriptions in different languages/media etc., and (c) XML and digital humanities specialists, in particular the TEI community. These discussions should encourage the greatest compatibility and synergy between projects -- in both directions. It is also important, however, that tools be created to convert essential work between projects where 100% compatibility is not possible (or desirable?). This page will contain documentation of EpiDoc community issues, including the venues and protocols used to discuss EpiDoc questions, arrange meetings, and for newcomers to ask for and be provided with assistance.
